AFTERNOON EDVENTURES

Palette & Palate: An Edventure in Art, Crafting & Cooking

Palette & Palate is a fun and creative afternoon Edventure program for grades 3–8, offered throughout the year on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Each session blends hands-on culinary and baking experiences with a variety of arts and crafts projects. Edventurers will explore various art mediums like drawing, sculpting, collage, and mixed media, along with creative crafting activities that change from session to session. They’ll also build kitchen confidence as they cook and bake a variety of kid-friendly recipes—all in a safe, supportive environment. The program runs during the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms, with two sessions offered each term (I & II). Sessions include six to seven classes each, which run from 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm, giving Edventurers multiple chances throughout the year to express themselves through both food and art.

Sports & Recreation: An Edventure in Sports & Fitness Fun

Sports & Recreation Edventure is a high-energy afternoon Edventure program for grades 3–8, offered throughout the year on Mondays and Wednesdays. Each session kicks off with lively games of tag and wraps up with the heart-pumping Stair Monster, bookending the day with movement and fun. Between those moments, Edventurers take part in a rotating lineup of indoor and outdoor activities that promote teamwork, fitness, and fun. Outdoor options may include soccer, kickball, wiffle ball, flag football, and elements of the Presidential Fitness Challenge. Indoors, participants enjoy chair yoga, snowball fights, trashketball, floor hockey, and chair volleyball—keeping the program exciting and varied even when the weather is challenging. High school Edventurers in our Boundless Achievement Academy or those homeschooling can earn Physical Education credit, and those who have already completed their PE requirements may earn Service hours by helping lead sessions. Parents, take the night off! Enjoy a few stress-free hours to shop for gifts, wrap presents, or simply relax! Kids, enjoy a night of festive fun!

PNO-Holiday Edition is an exciting evening filled with holiday music, pizza dinner, and tons of laughter with fast-paced holiday-themed “Minute to Win It” games. From stacking marshmallow “snowmen” to candy cane hook challenges and jingle bell shake-offs, each activity is designed for fun, movement, and a little friendly competition. The night wraps up with a cozy hot chocolate. This event celebrates the spirit of the season with no emphasis on religious beliefs- just festive fun in a welcoming environment.

PNO: Spring Baking Edition is a delightful evening filled with cheerful music, a pizza dinner, and plenty of laughter as kids dive into fast-paced spring-themed “Minute to Win It” spring-baking themed challenges. From decorating colorful cupcakes to speedy ingredient stacking and flour sack races, each activity is designed for fun, creativity, and friendly competition. The night wraps up with a sweet treat and refreshing lemonade. This event celebrates the joy of spring with no emphasis on religious themes—just seasonal fun in a warm, welcoming environment.

Brain Flex: An Edventure Spring-Break Camp

Brain Flex is a Social/Emotional Skills Camp focused on building skills such as anxiety techniques, anger management, growth mindset, healthy communication, understanding body language, “figuring out my feelings”, flexible thinking, thinking about hidden rules of friendship, thinking of others vs. just me, sizing my problem and reaction, and how to deal with unstructured social settings. Spots are limited- once enrollment is full, we will not have any more openings.
