Discovery-appointment #1-initial consultation
Everyone gets started with an initial consultation-it’s two appointments, one flat fee, and worth your time!
The first part is the Discovery Appointment. This is an appointment for the student. Our learning specialist will explore your goals and determine your child's learning and thinking style. Parents need to bring in a copy of the child's report card, teacher contact information, and any psycho-educational evaluations. After a brief chat, parents will then complete intake forms. Feel free to bring any discipline, academic, organizational or other concerns to the table- so we can provide support for the whole child and family in mind. We want to help you, regardless. Once we gather all the data-we will make recommendations.
STRATEGY & ACTION-APPOINTMENT #2-INITIAL CONSULTATION
The second part is the Strategy & Action Appointment. Results from the Discovery Appointment are shared as well as recommended services. If a family is invited to participate in services, we will walk you through every step of the way. You will find, as most parents do, that this consultation is not just some skills assessment like at big name learning centers- but it is a platform for change for every child & family. Take-away strategies will be discussed in the meeting, regardless if you move forward with services. Should either party decide not to move forward, the diagnostician is happy to complete a written narrative summary of the recommendations*, so you can implement other recommended strategies at home or seek related services. Those that move forward will receive a SuccessPlan for their child, so we are all on the same page.
PLACEMENT & COST-LAST STEP
After you decide you want to move forward with services, you will work with the Services Director to choose standing session times that work with your family-once set, sessions begin. The initial consultation is $195, flat-fee and includes both appointments. There are no other hidden fees- and you are under no obligation to move forward with services-just insightful data empowering parents to make decisions on their own terms.
