All camps are run by our instructional specialists with specialized training to work with the witty & worried, smart but scattered or creative over-comer- our camps fit students with academic struggles, those with academic giftedness, anxiety, or those students just wanting to prevent summer slide!

A “short-spurt” camp for kids who loathe writing!

Have a middle or rising high schooler who absolutely loathes writing? Send them our way! This four day mini-camp provides short spurts of fun, engaging activities, step by step take-aways, and low ratios to provide exposure and direct instruction in learning the four key writing models used most frequently in middle and high school: evidence-based short answer essay, the summary, the five paragraph dbq style essay, and question-answer relationship-based stacked question response. Students will work to build exemplars and writing starter references for use later as well.

WHAT TO BRING: Campers need a water bottle and a snack from home daily. Campers need a 1" three ring binder with five tabs to store their resources and take-aways.

WHEN: July 29- August 1, 2019 (Monday-Thursday) 9:30am - 12:30pm at Success4School, Cary campus

COST: $210 per camper: includes all materials & registration fees.
