Is the center open year-round
Yes! We are open year-round. Successful students are those that continue attending, even if time is decreased, during their summer break or during track outs. In this way they maintain skills and ensure a successful start to the new school year. We are open the same hours all year long: Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 7:30 pm, with preschool 8:15-12:30 most days, tutoring 3:00-7:00 pm Monday to Thursday (after/before hours by appointment), Fridays by appointment and Saturdays 8:30-12. Success Groups occur weekly at various times during operating hours. College Prep Test Courses as well as EOG and EOC Test Prep are held Sundays from 2:00-6:30 pm. Depending on your child's learning plan, your child will attend 2 or 3 tutoring sessions per week and preschool is held on 2, 3, or 5 half days. Top>

Why is One-To-One Instruction more effective than small group instruction?
Research indicates that One-To-One Instruction rapidly increases academic skills. The results of this research indicate that One-To-One Instruction is superior to whole group or small group instruction which your child receives in the classroom or in learning centers. As your child works they are provided with a lesson presentation, guided practice, independent practice, and review. We use a hands-on approach to make learning meaningful.  Research shows this is the most effective way to learn. Contact us   Top>

How are you equipped to help my child with learning difficulties or ADD/ADHD?
Our teachers are trained to work with children of special needs not just because most are special educators but because they receive training in using multi-sensory approaches to learning. Further, after your child's Diagnostic Assessment we create a plan for success. This blueprint for learning ensures the teacher is covering areas your child is struggling with, gaps in previous grades which are preventing them from learning independently, as well as being mindful of new learning coming soon for your child in school. Regardless of why your child is having difficulty in school, we deliver intensive one to one instruction- teacher to student- to achieve not only success in school but long term success in life. Your child will be equipped with tools they can apply to new learning situations. Every week students increase their concentration and focus while they learn in an environment that is motivating and inspiring.

What's the difference between Success4School and other chain learning centers?
This is one of the questions parents ask all the time. We provide one to one tutoring- teacher to student- intensive, motivating and research based. We are able to provide insight to parents in all the other aspects of education as well: related services, special needs, and referrals for other help you might need. We are a full service educational firm and take our families' needs seriously. We know many schools provide after-school tutoring or intervention programs for students that are having difficulty in school. Even though these programs are offered to families at no charge, research shows very little effectiveness in achieving lasting results to ensuring a child stays above standard for his grade level. We provide a permanent solution to struggling children and their families. Our approach is simple: met the child where he is at and move him forward using methods which lock learning in. We have our own curriculum and set of programs which are evidence based and proven effective. Contact us   Top>

Is your tutoring really one to one or like some places say "one to one support"?
We work one to one- meaning with your child, next to them, guiding them, observing, supporting-one teacher for one child- true one to one ratio. We do not work with one child and send them over to work alone in a cubicle, charging you thousands of dollars for your child to work out their learning on their own. Our tutoring is affordable because we need nothing but the expertise of our teachers and research based programs and instruction. Your child will utilize a warm up activity on our differentiated computerized instruction system, followed by a teacher directed, hands on lesson. Our teachers sit with your child during the session- the session time belongs to them- your investment goes into your child's academic success and nothing more- no franchise fees, no agency fees, no materials fees- just what works- intensive, targeted instruction at an affordable price- real families can afford- see what makes us differentContact us

What is the cost for the initial or interim tutoring diagnostic assessments?

Our diagnostic assessment  $150, with $75 of the assessment fee credited towards your first month of tutoring, with enrollment (based on our minimum session requirement). All follow up sessions are free,  we have no long term contracts, after all we need this information to create a plan for success. Contact us   Top>

Why Montessori for preschool or kindergarten?
We utilize a hybrid approach infusing traditional methods and computers, Spanish, sign language as well as music and movement. We follow the Montessori work cycle with materials. Why? We think the child learns more when working on interesting, prepared materials. If the teacher is always "the front of the room," what motivates the child to investigate, explore, and learn? Scientific studies have confirmed that both the oldest and youngest in a multi-age classroom learn more than in the traditional one-grade room. We believe the child must learn HOW to learn. This is very important to us. The child must develop the ability to pay attention and stay on task, and that must come from within, not from a "task master." This is built by using a large block of time not interrupted by arbitrary schedules. Research shows the use of multi-sensory "hands on" materials in regular use is the best forum for learning. Our other services for tutoring use this for older school-age children. We know it works for remediation when the traditional school has failed- we want to be able to provide students with this foundation of tools for learning early- so perhaps they can be more independent when learning in school later in life. Overall research shows a Montessori program employs the best teaching practices-the exact ones we strive for when our children become school-age. Overall, children with a Montessori preschool foundation are students later in life who are disciplined, focused, motivated to learn and have self-confidence. We have chosen this methodology because research demonstrates these things with astounding results- and research is important to us- that's all about everything we do. We make decisions based on what works. Contact us and you'll see why we believe we have the best preschool program in the triangle. Top>
